Biography
Dr Barbara Riddick is an honorary research fellow in the department. She still supervises PhD and EdD students as well as carrying out research. She has a background in clinical and educational psychology and her research interests include dyslexia, autism and aspergers syndrome and wider issues of inclusion, special educational needs and disability.
She is currently carrying out educational research in Namibia as a VSO volunteer. She completed a 6 month impact assessment on the role of VSO inclusive education advisers in Kunene Region. She is now based at the Ministry of Education Windhoek where she has been asked to carry out a national impact assessment on the role of VSO volunteers and to act as an adviser on the implementation of the new Inclusive Education Policy.
