Biography
Glenn Hawe is a Research Associate in the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences at Durham University, currently developing an agent-based simulation environment, STORMI, for evaluating responses to major incidents within the UK.
From December 2007 to November 2009 he worked as a PDRA at the Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre, at the University of Manchester, developing and optimizing machine learning methods for use in a novel force-field.
From October 2004 to September 2007 he worked as a KTP Associate for software company Vector Fields Ltd. (now part of Cobham CTS Ltd), developing efficient optimization software for electromagnetic design. During this time he obtained a PhD (part-time) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton. Prior to this he obtained a MPhys (1st class) in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Warwick (2004).
