School of Engineering and Computing Sciences (ECS)

Energy

The Energy research group is one of five research and teaching groups within ECS. Research within the group ranges from the study of artificial joints to the design and development of renewable energy generators for wind turbines, more details can be found in the research activities section. The group also teaches on the School's undergraduate MEng and BEng programmes, lecturing, tutoring design and supervising final year projects.

The group has close links with business and industry and can carry out testing and consultancy as well as much longer term research projects. We have an extensive range of facilities as well as significant analytical capability. If you want to discuss a research topic or idea please use the staff details or simply contact the head of the group, Dr Rob Dominy.
