| Details | National ICT Australia (NICTA) is conducting a research project to understand the impact of CMMI®â€“based Software Process Improvement (SPI) on software-developing SMEs. The results of this project are intended to provide insights to such SMEs about the nature, size and timing of CMMI®-based SPI cost and benefits. This document presents a systematic review protocol for the project. A systematic review is a means of evaluating and interpreting all available research relating to a particular research domain.
