Led by Earth Sciences, a number of Departments and research centres at the University of Durham*, together with Halcrow Group Ltd and Geospatial Research Ltd have established the Durham Centre for Terrestrial Laser Scanning (CeTLS). This is a world-leading terrestrial laser-scanning facility primarily for research purposes. This facility comprises a number of top-end scanners, state-of-the art 3D visualisation facilities, and research staff. * = Earth Sciences, e-Sciences, Centre for Research into Earth Energy, Durham Centre for New and Renewable Energy, Engineering, Geography, Physics, Earth Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Archaeology.
