Collins medal of the Mineralogical Society

Henry Emeleus has been awarded the inaugural Collins medal of the Mineralogical Society for his outstanding contribution to aspects of Mineral Sciences and associated studies during a long and active career, particularly studying the Palaeogene rocks of the British Isles and Greenland. The award was introduced by Dougal Jerram on behalf Volcanic and Magmatic Studies Group committee at the Annual meeting in early January 2010.
