The BioMolecular Design Group
This is a new group formed in Jan 2010 as part of the also relatively new Soft Matter and Biological Physics section. The aims of the group are to use biomolecular design (predominantly peptide design) to create new nano-scale structures and to give new function to existing structures. The group is highly interdisciplinary in nature with lab space in the Chemistry department and affilation to the Durham Biological Physics Institute.
