Registration
How do I register?
- Contact DUSSD and make an appointment to see a Disability Adviser.
- Make sure you have appropriate medical or psychological diagnostic evidence of your disability and bring it with you to your first appointment.
- You will be asked to complete a registration form. Please ask for assistance if you require support with this.
What will happen next?
- Your Disability Adviser will discuss your academic support needs with you.
- A Recommended Reasonable Adjustments (RRA) report will be written detailing your disability, its effects upon your academic performance and recommended support. The first draft of this report will be sent to you for your approval.
- When you have agreed with your Disability Adviser that you are happy with the content of your RRA report a copy will be sent to your college Senior Tutor and academic department. This will inform the staff you come into contact with most frequently of your support requirements.
What should I do if I experience problems after this?
- Contact your Disability Adviser in the first instance. Remember, early intervention can prevent problems escalating.
