I am experiencing difficulties due to an unexpected diagnosis. Can I disclose a disability at this stage of my course?

Yes.  We appreciate that students' circumstances can change during their time at Durham University. If you become disadvantaged due to diagnosis of a physical disability, specific learning difference (SpLD), long term mental health problem or medical condition, please contact DUSSD.

We will be able to advise you on available support measures, which might enable you to complete your studies, as well as your potential eligibility for Disabled Students' Allowances funding.
