Today, the entire field gathered at Hidden Valley raceway for qualifying and dynamic scrutineering. Driver Richard Flint took to the track to set a time, which resulted in a time of 2min 50s and placed DUSC 24th out of 37 for the start on Sunday. This places DUSC ahead of Cambridge and MIT for the start.
DUSC also passed dynamic scrutineering and the car now sports the Northern Territory registration plate “SUN 14″.
Some of the team attended a briefing about the race and in particular the start arrangements, at Darwin Convention Centre.
The team has spent the rest of the day making final preparations to the car and packing everything from the garage at Hidden Valley into the support vehicles in preparation for the 3000km to Adelaide.
The team is now looking forward to the start which will be outside Parliament House in central Darwin.
