The Gateway Programme continues to make good progress despite April's inclement weather. The main library extension is now complete and the work on the Palatine Centre and Law school remains on schedule.

Update May 2010
The Gateway Programme was developed in consultation with students, staff and local residents and was awarded statutory planning consent by Durham County Council in late 2009. All funding for the project, which included a contribution from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), is in place and construction will begin on site in 2010.
