2011 Alumni Appeal

Did you know that we have 1864 Durham alumni living in America?  Our first American students came to Durham back in the 1940s and we currently have 172 American students enrolled at Durham.

Because Durham feels a special kinship with the United States, we would like to enrol many more American students into our degree programmes.  They enrich the collegiate experience for all of our students and, we trust, begin their life's journey with a world-class education and an experience of the world. Indeed, achieving a Durham degree is something to be proud of.  The latest league tables rank Durham as one of the leading full subject universities in the UK.

DunelmUSA (formerly The North American Foundation for the University of Durham (NAFUD)) has been established as a charitable institution to channel financial gifts to Durham University in order for you and other US alumni to claim tax benefits.  One of DunelmUSA's key projects is to raise funds for scholarships and travel stipends to help American students come to Durham.

We hope that you will consider making an online gift or by sending a cheque made payable to Nafud, to Bob Klein (DunelmUSA President), Wharton Levin Ehrmantraut Klein, P.A, 104 West Street, P O Box 551, Annapolis, Maryland 21404-0551.
