What is the Durham Hat Theme?

For 2012 we have decided to have the theme of "THE OLYMPICS", as this is the London 2012 year it seemed like an obvious choice to have the olympics as our theme.

Once the teams are announced we are expecting many themed team names from all you creative frisbee players out there - think of things such as "The long throwers" or "The high jumpers" - I'm sure everyone can do better than this though.

Throughout the weekend we will be having many mini-olympic themed games such as the hammer toss, 60m sprint etc. All with prizes for the winners in true fun tournament style.

Also we are expecting your best olympic themed costumes for the usual epic party, think out of the box if you are wanting to be in with a shot of best costume, we are expecting to see not only lots of sports costumes but also cheerleaders, maybe as its the London olympics come as something from London, or ancient Greece??

The Durham Hat is one of the UK's biggest summer ultimate tournaments.

Hosted by Durham Ultimate Frisbee Club, this unique hat-styled tournament brings with it a weekend packed full of ultimate, the chance to meet and play with other players from all over the UK and, of course, an excellent party - with a brand new theme for this year
