Sir Thomas Allen comes to Music Department for a masterclass

Sir Thomas Allen, the renowned operatic singer and Durham University's new Chancellor, will be giving a masterclass to students in the Music Department on Thursday 3rd May.

Since his Convent Garden debut in 1971, he has performed a wide range of repertoire on the operatic stage for over forty years and is considered as one of the most prominent lyric baritones in the world. In this masterclass he will be sharing his experience and insight into what it takes to be a world-class musician with young aspiring singers. The event is open to the public and entrance is free.
