Top award for Event Durham

We are delighted to announce the Event Durham team has won the top award from Venuemasters in their Mystery Buyer Survey for the second year running.

Venuemasters is a consortium promoting the facilities at academic venues for meetings, group accommodation or conferences.

The survey was completed in the summer without any prior notice to venues. This provides an accurate snapshot of the service levels for that period and summarises the scores recorded for our venue against each element of the enquiry handling process.

The scores were compared with the overall membership of Venuemasters and a cross section of independent hotels and conference centres that were presented with the same enquiry. From the overall scores Event Durham came out at number one!

The team were presented with their award at the Venuemaster AGM awards ceremony held at Southampton Solent Conference Centre. 

As well as team success, Judith Aird, Conference Administration Officer, enjoyed personal success, winning first place in the Personal Achievement Award. This award is in recognition of outstanding customer service and the high levels of support Judith offers to academics using the Event Management Service.
