Durham Energy Institute Director speaker at AAPG Luncheon
(16 August 2011)
The talk, part of the AAPG Luncheon Series, is entitled "The oil and gas industry: fairly dragged through the mud". It will look at the role of academia as a potential independent source of expertise and will review two case studies: the trigger for the Lusi mud volcano in Indonesia and the potential for contamination of aquifers with methane as a result of shale gas operations in Pennsylvania.
