Development and Alumni Relations Office

The Development Office and Alumni Relations Office coordinates the mangement of mutually beneficial relationships with alumni, friends and other supporters. 

Our alumni and friends have a vested interest in maintaining Durham as a World 'Top-100' University (THE and QS World Rankings 2010-11), and they are keen to keep abreast of current developments and plans.

Many will contribute back to the institution in some way, whether by helping to maintain a thriving alumni community or making a philanthropic gift.  Gifts to the University help in numerous ways by providing additional learning resources and enhanced academic and social facilities, funding much needed college projects such as the networking of rooms, providing scholarships to ensure that we continue to attract the most talented students from all backgrounds, and financing bursaries to help those experiencing financial difficulties.
