The Arabic Linguistics and Phonetics Site

Welcome to the Arabic Linguistics and Phonetics Site, which is entirely devoted to the study of Arabic, with an unashamed bias towards linguistics and phonetics. Although it is primarily aimed at researchers, academics, translators, etc. the resources contain something for everyone. You don’t need to know any Arabic to consult the site, but it helps!
Even though this is not primarily a site to learn Arabic, you will find some references and links to on-line Arabic-learning web sites.
As is customary with any kind of internet site, the author cannot be held responsible for the content of the sites to which there are links. Having said that, sites are carefully screened for relevance before they are included.
This is a site under construction and visitors are welcome, and indeed encouraged, to submit any comments, corrections, useful additions, etc. to the compiler of the site, Dr. Daniel Newman, at daniel.newman@durham.ac.uk.
