Counselling Service

So you think you may need counselling?

Chances are if you are checking out our website you are worried, troubled or in distress (or concerned about a friend who is).

You may feel embarrassed about needing to ask for help

You may be unsure if counselling will help, or whether you are able to use the service

You may be feeling very confused about:

  • if counselling is the right step for you
  • how to make an appointment - whether you can do this yourself or need to be referred by University staff
  • what to expect when you get here
  • confidentiality - will others know you've been here
  • talking to a stranger

All of these concerns are normal!
