Botanic Gardens We did a mixture of things this week....
Some people were carrying on with clearing up the woodland area at the bottom of the botanic gardens. This included unblocking the stream of dead leaves, which looked mucky but was very rewarding, as they managed to get a nice little waterfall going!
Another group of us were mapping bird-box locations. When the path's eventually made open to visitors, I think they'll get a proper map of where they all are. I was very impressed with the map they'd drawn in pencil though!
Two of us helped Mike sort out a cable running from a bird-box to a television in the visitors' centre. We didn't get it completely finished but, in the near future, visitors will be able to see and listen to the birds that nest in the boxes. How exciting!
