Responsibilities
Rebecca has primary responsibility for the writing, editing and production of the University’s corporate publications. These include Dialogue, the internal newsmagazine, and the University Brochure.
Rebecca also has responsibility for developing internal communications channels and reviewing, developing and delivering an evolving University internal communications strategy.
Objectives
Rebecca is tasked with assessing the effectiveness of the corporate publications, developing a strategic plan, addressing areas of concern, and managing change with affected staff across the department. She will also be looking to identify and develop opportunities for additional publications that complement the strategic development of the Durham University brand.
Background
Rebecca holds a degree in Modern European Languages from Durham. Since graduating in 2003, Rebecca has worked in administration within the Academic Office, gaining useful knowledge and experience of University procedures and policies and developing skills in project management and communications. She has successfully completed the Professional Certificate in Marketing and joined the Marketing Team in February 2007.
Personal
Rebecca loves spending time with her husband and friends, travelling abroad, learning new languages, musical theatre (watching and participating), and chocolate.
