There are many positive news stories to tell about Durham University. However, it would be impossible for the Media Relations Team to publicise them all.
A Media Relations Strategy has therefore been drawn up and agreed by University Executive Committee, Senior Officers' Group and all three Faculty Boards.
Using the University's 2010 strategy as its basis, the strategy for proactive media relations is focused on achieving the greatest positive profile for Durham University in the international, national and regional media, making the best use of our resources.
This means we will focus our in-house resources on preparing and issuing news stories that will have major impact in the international, national, and regional media and are of major interest to the general public.
