Photography and images
Photography plays a key role in both print and electronic communications. Images help engage an audience's interest and are a relationship-building tool with stakeholders. Images need to help a piece of communication attract attention, interest and desire. They should also ultimately help achieve a call to action. When choosing photography please consider the following:
- Suitability to the audience, content and message that is being conveyed
- Whether the image conveys a sense of academic excellence, personal growth and a world-class learning experience
- Whether the image is the correct resolution for the medium (72 dpi for web use, and a minimum of 300 dpi for print).
There are a wide variety of images available to University members on our image management system, which is constantly being updated with newly commissioned photography.
