Image Management System
PLEASE NOTE: Should you experience any problems logging on to the Image Management System, please submit a call to the IT Helpdesk who will investigate the problem. Email itservicedesk@durham.ac.uk or call ex 41515.
An extensive range of images from around the University is available through the Image Management System (IMS).
This is a sophisticated resource was acquired in 2005 to help departments, colleges, and units across the University access existing University-wide images, as well as providing them with the option to upload and store their own images, creating a central source for all University images.
All members of the University have access to the Image Management System through their CIS username and password.
A user guide is also available to as a brief introduction on how to using the Image Management System most effectively.
Our Communications Framework partners also have access to the Image Management System. Should you require permission for an external user to use the Image Bank or need any help with using the facility, please contact the Strategic Marketing Team (ex 46316).

Model Release and Agreement
Please ensure that before uploading images of students, staff, members of the public, or children, to the Image Management System that you have obtained their permission and agreement to use the imagery either verbally or written (we recommend obtaining written permission). You will be prompted to confirm whether this has been obtained at the point of upload. By confirming this you accept responsibility.
The Strategic Marketing Team have an agreement form available for departments and colleges to use, please get in touch to obtain this.
