Durham Students' Union

Durham Students' Union is the University's Student Union under the 1994 Education Act and is the representative body for all the students of the University. The Durham Students' Union constitution is subject to a 5 yearly review by the University Council. It was approved in March 2008 and revisions were approved in May 2011 and May 2012.

Any amendments to the Durham Students' Union constitution require both the approval of University Council and the approval of a 75% majority of the members of the Union voting by referendum provided that at least 5% of the total membership entitled to vote upon the amendments have voted.
