Deputy Vice-Chancellor

  1. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Council, after consultation with the Senate, on the recommendation of a joint Appointment Committee of Senate and Council constituted for this purpose.
  2. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor shall normally be appointed for such period, of up to five years, as the Council shall on occasion of each appointment or reappointment determine. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor shall be eligible for reappointment, to be determined by the Council.
  3. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor shall be assigned such duties as the Council may from time to time determine.
