The Combined Honours degrees in brief
Combined Honours at Durham offers a wide choice of subjects and modules. It is also a flexible programme; you are relatively free to choose modules from a diverse range of subjects (as long as you have no timetable clashes), and to change the shape of your degree at the end of the first year (as long as you have studied the relevant required modules). All of which means breadth of knowledge; enabling you to understand both the depth and the context of your subject.
Choose the subjects you want to study for yourself and your career
Combined Honours gives you the opportunity to design your own degree course within a framework of general guidelines. You can combine Arts or Social Science subjects of your choice with up to half your degree from the other group of subjects. This provides breadth of knowledge together with the same depth and rigour as you would gain from studying single honours courses.
