Welfare & support
Support from the highly approachable college pastoral staff is excellent and any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently and are supplemented well by the JCR's welfare committee.

We have excellent support arrangements at Collingwood to help people through even the toughest times. Every student is assigned a personal mentor when they first arrive. You can consult your personal mentor about anything, including finance, careers, health, homesickness, academic concerns and many more - if it matters to you, it will matter to them. Your mentor may not be able to help you directly, but they will be able to tell you where help exists. The student body (JCR) also provides excellent support. There are two JCR Welfare Officers, one male and one female. They are supported by a welfare team, who operate a rota, so there's always someone you can talk to if you''re experiencing difficulties.
In addition to all the above, you are welcome to talk to the Senior Tutors, the Student Support Administrator or the Principal about anything that's bothering you.
I have really enjoyed my time so far at Collingwood - it's great to know that when you're living away from home for the first time, there are such friendly people to help you out. It really gives a welcoming atmosphere, which put me at ease and gave me the chance to enjoy what the college can offer.
