Collingwood has excellent facilities for socialising:

We are surrounded by beautiful woodland and adjacent to us is the Botanic Garden, which are ideal for walking and jogging. 

The Coffee Shop ('The Wood 'n' Spoon')

The Coffee Shop is open 9 am to 5 pm every day during term time.  It serves tea, coffee, hot chocolate, pannini, and a variety of snacks.  Once again, it's run by the JCR, so you can easily influence what it serves.  Open mike nights are often held in the Coffee Shop during term, which allows people to perform songs to an appreciative audience.

Widely regarded as having the best pub atmosphere of any of the College bars in Durham, the Redwood Arms provides a place for College to get together and relax.  Like many pubs, the Redwood Arms hosts a number of social events, including band nights, quizzes and karaoke.

Opening hours during term:
Monday to Thursday - 8.00pm - 11.00pm
Friday and Saturday - 7.30pm - 12.00pm 
Sunday - 2.30pm - 5.30pm and 8.00pm - 11.00pm
