Undergraduate Life
Collingwood has one of the liveliest, largest and most active bunch of students of all the colleges in Durham University. We have a very active student body (our JCR) who organise many activities and events. There's also lots of opportunities to get involved in extra-curricular activities. In addition, the JCR and the College can offer support and information throughout your time at University if you ever need it.
The members of the Collingwood are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds, lifestyles, cultures, religions and races creating a rich and diverse community. We celebrate all the cultural influences that contribute to such a fascinating mixture. Whilst we have no particular religious affiliation, we respect the beliefs of all our members and provide spiritual and pastoral support to College members of any faith or none. Whatever your background or beliefs, we trust you will feel 'at home' with us.

Meet Phil...
"I love the vibrant community at Collingwood. The amazing range of people here means there are always others around that love the same things you do. I've been in College plays and musicals, and have played darts and Ultimate Frisbee for my College teams. There's so much open space around Collingwood for chilling out in the sun, playing tennis or kicking a ball about. Plus you can do all your socialisingwithout having to take a step outside, whether you're heading for a friend's room, the bar, gym, or coffee shop."
