Details of the JCR's accounts & budgets

JCR Accounts and Budgets

  • Any financial document is available to any member of the JCR on request at any time.
  • A financial budget should be produced and presented to the JCR and College Council at the end of each academic year for the following academic year.
  • An accurate income and expenditure account and balance sheet should be maintained throughout the financial year. The accounting records shall in particular contain entries from day to day of all sums of money received and expended by the JCR, and the matters on respect of which receipt and expenditure takes place and a record of the assets and liabilities of the JCR. The accounts should regularly be submitted to the University DSO Finance officer as required by DSO regulations.
  • A report should be presented to college council termly and accounts should be submitted annually.
  • A detailed statement of accounts should be posted publicly each month, each report containing in particular a list of the external organisations to which the JCR has made donations for the period to which the report relates, and details of these donations or affiliation fees.
