Members

The Executive Officers of the JCR
The Steering Officers who are non-voting members
The Bar Steward who will be a non-voting member 

Duties 

They shall administer the day to day business of the JCR.
Be responsible for the prompt execution of decisions of the JCR.
Be responsible to the best of their ability for the execution of JCR policies.
Act on behalf of the JCR where urgent action must be taken prior to a JCR meeting. In such circumstances a JCR meeting shall be called as soon as possible to ratify the Executive Committee’s decisions.
Put before the JCR at an Ordinary or Extraordinary meeting any proposal to affiliate or disaffiliate the JCR as a whole, or any part or service provided by the JCR, with any organisation or body external to the JCR.
Report individually and verbally to JCR meetings on issues that have arisen since the last meeting, on what they have done since the last meeting, and on plans for future action.
Present a written report to the last JCR meeting of their term of office, a copy of which shall be lodged with the Steering Committee who shall publish them in an appropriate way.
All out-going members must meet with their successors to provide them with relevant guidance, resources and materials for the position.
Be individually responsible for the conduct of their JCR correspondence.

Meetings

Meetings shall normally be held weekly during term time unless decided otherwise by a quorate meeting.
The President shall be responsible for calling meetings, and providing at least 48 hours notice for said meetings.
Meetings shall be chaired by the JCR Chair.
The Executive Committee may vote by a 2/3 majority at a quorate meeting to discuss business in closed session, if they consider that open discussion may be detrimental to the welfare of a member or members of the JCR. In this event the Committee may nonetheless allow others to attend. The effect of such a vote shall last no longer than the end of the meeting.
