Collingwood's Golf Club Collingwood College Golf Club is part of the Durham University Golf Club. The joining fee is great value for money as it grants you a year's membership at Brancepeth Castle Golf Club (Ranked in the Top 100 courses in the UK) and ball tokens for Ramside Hall Golf Club driving range. All abilities are welcome and each week we aim to train at the driving range one weeknight and play a medal competition at the weekend (We organise lifts to events through our non-fresher members with cars). The most talented golfers will get the opportunity to represent the university team which plays in an inter-university league. The team has a great social side with numerous socials throughout the year and also the most regal stash in the university from the manufacturers of the European Ryder Cup shirts. If you are interested (which is free!) please go to the Team Durham Sports fair at the start of first term or if you forget just send an email to get on the mailing list. So don't forget to bring your golf clubs up to university with you!!! |
