Collingwood College's Bar, The Stag's Head is staffed by students, for students. It is the heart and soul of Collingwood, with many social events taking place throughout the term. It provides a great place to join your friends after a hard day of lectures, whether it be for a much needed pint or just for a cheap soft drink!

Run by the JCR's sabbatical bar steward, The Stag's Head, located next to the JCR, is Collingwood's very own pub. A large indoor seating areas, a covered beer garden , and a large HD projector, combined with a wide range of drinks and snacks and a relaxed homely pub-like atmosphere make The Stag's Head not only a popular destination for all University Students, but also epitomises why it is the central hub of Collingwood life.

Opening Times

Sunday-Thursday: 7:30pm-11pm
Friday-Saturday: 7:30pm-Midnight
Saturday & Sunday Afternoons: 2:30-5:30 pm

N.B. Opening times may differ for special events and live sport fixtures. The bar may be restricted to attendees only for certain events, such as formals.

Events

The Stag's Head runs its own social calendar and regular events include DJs, a weekly quizz, Jazz and Coktail Nights, Open Mic Nights and a wide range of Sports Fixtures on its two large screens. with ESPN and Sky Sports subscriptions.

Drinks

A variety of bottled drinks, including lagers, ales, alco-pops and softs, are also available.
Draught beverages include Carlsberg, Carling Extra Cold, Coors Light, Kirin Ichiban, Grolsch, Gaymers, Guinness Extra Cold, John Smith's Extra Smooth, a variety of local ales, and draught softs for 25p (1/2 pt.)
Collingwood's most popular resident cocktail is the 'Skittles'.

Employment

The bar employs only Collingwood students, both during and outside of term time. Details of the application and interview process are normally released at the start of each year.
