Information on IT services at Durham

All first year students are guaranteeded a room in college and most final year students opt to live back in. The rooms are allocated to non-first years according to a random room ballot, where 4^th years get priority over 3^rd year finalists, who have priority over 3rd year non-finalists, who have priority over 2^nd years. Places at the top of the ballot are allocated to officers and one DUCK auctioned room.

With about half of the Woodsmen and women living out of college it is important that there is someone on the exec to look after and represent their interests. The job of Livers Out Officer is divided into two roles, for those living in (mostly freshers) I am here to help you find a safe, affordable, comfortable house in Durham. For those living out I am here to provide a link to college and to help with any housing problems which may arise over the year.

The Male and Female Welfare Officers are the JCR Officers responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of students.

Should you need any welfare support, they, the JCR President, and members of the Welfare Committee would be glad to help. There are also many members of the college staff you can consult, such as your personal tutor, the Principal, Ed Corrigan, and Senior Tutor, Steve Raynor.

The JCR throws several social events throughout the year; typically 3 or 4 formals and balls each term. Of these, some are black tie, whilst others are fancy dress. Highlights across the year include Winter Solstice, Spring Ball and Collingwood Day. A function request for for booking events or meetings in college is available here.
