About the Website

This website is run by Mambo CMS v4.6.5, released under the GNU/GPL licence.

It uses CSS V2/3, javascript and XML V1 so you will need one of the latest browsers to view all the pages correctly; Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.5 and Chrome have been tested, if you are using another browser or an older version we cannot guarantee that all the pages will display properly.

We don't officially represent the views of the university. We do, however try to represent the views of Collingwood Junior Common Room which is a student body specific to Collingwood College.
The website is managed buy the JCR's web committee, chaired by the webmaster. To contact the committee for suggestions/comments email .

This version of the website was first created by Scott Lowe January 2010, with major contributions from Alex Dudgeon (website) and Sarah Witkowski-Baker (website).

The content and some of the code is based on the old versions of this site, the most recent designed by Michael Peacock (website) and Richard Carter (website) and the former design by Philip Cullen (no website) and Corwin Wright (website), so many thanks for their contributions.

About the JCR

Collingwood Junior Common Room is a democratic student body (view our constitution) representing it's members, which include the vast majority of the current undergraduate and postgraduate student population of Collingwood College.

Our crest contains 3 stags and we have our own stag mascot which you may see around this website and at our larger events.
We also have a short introduction available, as well as entire section of this website dedicated to the JCR's services (the tradings of Collingwood College JCR).

About the College

Collingwood College is a (rather nice) residential college of the University of Durham. No teaching is facilitated on the site, however the College has far more to offer than just a hall of residence. The official College website has more information on Collingwood College itself and some information on the JCR as well as links to other Collingwood common room sites.
