Ustinov College

Ustinov College is a multi disciplinary scholarly community of postgraduates both UK based and international studying for Masters Degrees and PhD's. The Ustinov College environment connects research, scholarship and community with students from all around the world; enabling students from different departments to meet and engage in interdisciplinary dialogue and research related activities both informally and through lectures, seminars or conferences. Postgraduate students have the opportunity to work together to organise and lead seminars and cafe discussion groups on politics, the arts and the sciences. The Ustinov Seminar is an interdisciplinary forum for postgraduates across the university, and offers a wonderful way of meeting outside the departmental or subject-based circles, and to learn about research in other fields. The Ustinov inter-cultural forum (UIF) brings together students from more than 100 countries around the world to promote debate, social and cultural connections with each other and with the wider communities in and around Durham.
