Who can set up a web site on the University's server?
All members of the University are entitled to produce a web site in their personal filespace if they wish (and the appropriate folders are set up for them when their account is created) but only academic departments, inter-departmental research groups, service departments, Colleges, DSU-affiliated student societies, and College JCRs will be explicitly linked to the University home page. All these pages should be created using departmental or society usernames - personal usernames should not be used.
WWW page standards & guidelines
In order to comply with legal requirements on the accessibility of web sites, CIS recommends that all web pages comply with international standards on HTML, use of style sheets and accessibility.
Use of the University marque on web pages
Information about the use of the University marque on web pages, together with copies of the graphic image are at http://www.dur.ac.uk/university.brand/local/marque/marque_colour/downloads/
