Additionally, some minor cosmetic changes have been made to the CMS to make display of the editing functions more consistent.

Multiple images in the left side bar now displayed randomly

The template has been changed so that if there are multiple images in the left side bar, one will be selected at random each day for display on the live site. In site editing mode, all images will be visible.

This does not affect the images in the right side bar.

On the majority of pages, which have no images or only one image in the left side bar, this change will have no effect.

Name display on permission changing now more reliable

When delegating permissions to someone, the system would occasionally not display their name and would instead fall back to their username. This should now never happen unless delegating permissions to a non-personal account.

Resources now displayed in alphabetical order with accurate last-modified

Resources are now displayed in alphabetical order by description. The last-modified date is now always accurate (it was previously possible in uncommon circumstances for it to not update correctly when a resource was updated).

All profile system large boxes now support full formatting

Large text boxes in the profile system now have full support for text formatting. Previously this support was only available or only partially available for some boxes. A description of the available formatting is in Guide 181.

Profile system now handles special characters

Special characters such as α, é or § can now be inserted into the profile system. Simply copy and paste the character into the appropriate field.

You should not use the &name; or &number; formats to add special characters.

The profile system should also display these characters appropriately. However, this is dependent on the the user having a font installed that contains this character, and a browser that knows about it.
