CHANGE : People with visitor usernames can now have all their details edited through the profile system.

Editing visitors in the profile system

Since not all visitors appear in the University Directory in a way that allows the Profile System to unambiguously identify them, it is now possible to edit their name, job title and telephone number directly within the Profile System. To avoid unnecessary data duplication this is not possible, and will remain not possible, for anyone other than visitors.

Profile System interface improvements

The Profile System interface has been changed slightly. The changes include:

  • Current operating mode of the system displayed below the black bar, not in it.
  • Staff profile options reformatted.
  • Staff and department profile options are now not always on the page - instead there is a link back to the menu. This should make the pages clearer and easier to use.
