Video conference facilities

CIS has video conferencing facilities at Durham and Queen's Campus Stockton.

All systems are professional video conference systems and are based on Polycom equipment which gives excellent audio and video quality. The connection method for all systems is via IP (Network).

Location of equipment

Durham

  • The Palatine Centre

There are two mobile units available which can be used in selected rooms within the Palatine Centre, ranging from 8 - 30 seat capacity.

  • The Calman Learning Centre

There are four rooms with video conferencing capabilities, ranging from 105 - 400 seat capacity.

Queen's Campus Stockton

  • Room D223

Fixed video conference facility with a seating capacity of 12.

Costs

There is no cost to schools or departments for using the video conference facilities. For external users the costs can be found at: http://www.dur.ac.uk/cis/theatres/hirecharges/.
