Service Requests

I need some advice...can I have some more...can I book...

If you are contacting the Service Desk because you need some support or guidance, to ask for more of something or to book a room or piece of equipment, we call it a Service Request.

Examples of Service Requests can include:

  • Can I increase the size of my J: drive?
  • Can I book a projector for my lecture?
  • How do I paste a photo into a Word document?

You can report a Service Request by filling in a Service Request form (you'll need your user name and password to access this form), or by calling us on Ext 41515 or 0191 334 1515.

These requests are handled as part of our Incident Management process so once we receive your form we will log an Incident on your behalf.  We will send you an email acknowledgement with your reference number which will start like this:

INC0000......

You will need to give us this reference number if you get in touch with us about it.

How you can help us to resolve your request

A large number of support requests, problems and queries can be quickly resolved simply by using the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's).
