I need something new...something to be changed...
If you contact the Service Desk with a request for something new (e.g. a new PC or piece of software) or to change something that you already have (e.g. update a piece of software to a newer version), we call it a Change Request.
Examples of Change Requests can include:
- Can I have Microsoft Project installed on my PC?
- Can I buy a new PC?
- Can I have a new network point installed?
- A project to install a new IT system
You can raise a Change Request by filling in a Change Request form (you'll need your user name and password to access this form), or by calling us on Ext 41515 or 0191 334 1515.
Once we receive your form, we will log your Request and send you an email acknowledgement with your reference number which will start like this:
You will need to give us this reference number if you get in touch with us about it.
How you can help us to process your Change Requests
Requests made to our Change Management Team are assessed by our technical staff, prioritised and then scheduled alongside other Changes. By providing as much relevant information as possible when you contact us, you will help us to carry out this assessment accurately and efficiently.
