Back-up and Recovery

In March 2007 the Audit Committee received an IT Position Audit report from the Business Assurance Service and requested that a University policy on IT Back-up and Recovery should be developed and agreed by UEC. The ITSG formed a Security working group to develop the policy and it was submitted to, and agreed by, UEC on the 21st May 2007. The purpose behind the policy is to ensure that University data can be restored quickly to a previous known state after it has been deleted or corrupted. Full Back-up and Recovery policy.
