Communications Infrastructure Upgrade (CIU) Project

The Communications Infrastructure Upgrade (CIU) Project is in place to deliver a major upgrade to Durham University's data and voice network infrastructure in line with the University's IT Vision.

It will prove a brand new, faster network and a new, better telephone system.

It is also a pre-requisite to major building work (Gateway) on the University's Science Site which drives the demolition of the main telephone exchange facility (the PABX located at North Lodge) by March 2011.
