How to find your MAC address
The MAC address, sometimes called the physical address or the hardware address, allows us to identify you on the network so that we can assign you a valid TCP/IP address.
In most cases the address for your network card is physically located on the card. It is either on a sticker or it might be printed directly on the card often by a barcode. It is a twelve-digit number of hexadecimal characters (0-9, a-f) and will usually look like this.

GetMAC
You can download the GetMAC tool to obtain your MAC address, however if you have more than one network card it is advisable to use the manual methods listed below as this will give you the correct MAC address for the card you select. GetMAC only works on Windows 98/ME, NT, 2000 & xp.
