How to configure your network settings

IP Version

Currently there is no support for IP version 6 within the network or on any CIS supported host. In addition badly configured systems with IPv6 can have a negative impact on the network, sometimes tantamount to a denial-of-service attack. Consequently we require attached devices to the network to ensure IPv6 is disabled within their network settings. Note that Windows Vista has IPv6 enabled by default.
