Hardware recommendations

CIS makes recommendations on specifications of IT equipment such as PCs, laptops, printers and scanners. It is imperative that departments, colleges and individuals pay attention to these recommendations before purchasing as this will avoid incompatibility issues and improve the level of support that CIS is able to provide.

For some CIS services (eg NPCS , MDS , ESOL ), there are also minimum specifications which must be adhered to.

Where possible CIS will arrange deals with recommended suppliers and orders for these may be placed via the CIS Office .
