Before you can connect to Durham University Network you are required to submit your computer to be checked against our network security policies to ensure that your computer meets the minimum security level required for access to the network.

The Remote Scan facility allows you to check your computer against our network policies before you arrive at Durham and you should use this if you intend to connect your own PC or laptop to the University’s student wired network (i.e. via a network point in a college).
