Network Policy
Network Policy Requirements
In order to connect successfully to the network your computer must pass the following network policy.
Operating System
The following operating systems are allowed:
- Microsoft Windows 8
- Microsoft Windows 7
- Microsoft Windows Vista
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Linux
- Mac OS X v 10.4 or higher
Development i.e. beta, pre-releases up to general availability and server versions of Operating Systems are not allowed.
Antivirus Protection
Users of Microsoft Windows are required to have one of the following Antivirus applications installed:

Antispyware Protection
Users of Microsoft Windows are required to have one of the following Antispyware applications installed:
Installing Operating System Updates
Installing the latest operating system updates will protect your computer from some forms of spyware and common viruses.
- Windows - open Internet Explorer and goto http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate and install any available updates.
- Linux - please refer to your distribution's documentation on how to ensure your computer it up to date.
- Mac OS X - from the Apple Menu choose Software Update... and install any available updates.
Software Availability
Microsoft Security Essentials, Kaspersky and AVG are available for installation during the Quarantine process.
Access to Operating System updates and Service Packs is also available during the Quarantine process.
IPlease note:
Before installing any antivirus software please ensure that your computer does not already have any antivirus software installed. If it already has antivirus software installed you will need to remove this by uninstalling it from the Add/Remove Control Panel, contact the developer of the software for further help on removing it if required.
Installing a second antivirus software on your computer can lead to your computer being unusable.
